Handmade Floral Throw Pillows, Extra-Long Lumbars, & Non-Toxic Wallpaper

Primrose painterly floral wallpaper from The Meadow Collection by Marigold Furniture in a bright bedroom with linen bedding and natural light

We designed The Meadow Collection the way the Impressionists painted wildflower fields: not as a catalog of individual blooms, but as a feeling. Loose brushstrokes, sun-drenched color, petals dissolving into one another. It's a collaboration between Marigold Furniture and our sister brand Kevin Francis Design, and it brings the romance of English plein air painting to three product categories: handmade duck feather throw pillows, extra-long 34-inch lumbar pillows, and non-toxic floral wallpaper, all produced to order in England.

Four painterly patterns anchor the collection: Petunia, Cosmos, Chamomile, and Primrose. Each reads like a hand-painted botanical study rather than a digitally generated repeat. They share a loose, impressionistic quality that brings warmth and softness to interiors without the rigidity that makes most mass-produced florals feel flat.

Handmade Duck Feather Floral Throw Pillows

Every Meadow throw pillow starts with a premium duck feather insert, not polyester fill, not foam. The difference is immediate. These have genuine weight and softness, the kind of pillow that collapses when you lean into it and slowly regains its shape. The covers are natural cotton-linen, printed on both sides with one of the four Meadow patterns and finished with colorful contrast piping that gives each pillow a tailored, English country house quality.

The covers are fully removable and machine washable, which matters for pillows that are actually meant to be used. Available in four sizes from 20-inch square to 24-inch Euro, they layer naturally across sofas, beds, window seats, and armchairs.

If you're working with a chintz sofa or building a room with layered pattern, these are particularly well suited. The painterly quality of the Meadow prints plays beautifully against tighter, more structured chintz patterns, creating visual contrast without clashing. They also work just as well against solid linen or velvet, adding botanical character to a room that needs it.

Sustainably printed in England using low-impact methods. Made to order.

34-Inch Extra-Long Floral Lumbar Pillows

Standard lumbar pillows are typically 12 by 20 inches or thereabouts. They look fine on a dining chair but get lost on a full-size sofa. The Meadow extra-long lumbars are 34 inches wide, which changes what a single pillow can do in a room. One lumbar anchors an entire sofa. One fills a daybed. One transforms a bench into a place people actually want to sit.

The construction matches the throw pillows: duck feather inserts, natural cotton-linen covers, contrast piping, machine washable, pattern on both sides. But the oversized format is what designers keep coming back to. It solves the common problem of three or four smaller pillows lined up across a sofa, each slightly different in scale and spacing, never quite looking right. At 34 inches, one pillow creates the grounded, intentional look that smaller pillows can't achieve on their own.

The painterly floral designs bring visual softness to the shape, while the lumbar proportions offer genuine lower back support. It's decorative and functional, which is rare in this category.

Non-Toxic Impressionist Floral Wallpaper Made in England

The Meadow wallpaper brings the same hand-painted botanical quality to the wall, and it does so with a materials profile that most floral wallpapers on the market can't match. Every roll is GREENGUARD Gold certified, PVC-free, printed with zero-VOC solvent-free inks, and handmade on premium nonwoven paper in England. It's safe for nurseries, children's rooms, bedrooms, and any space where you care about what's off-gassing from the walls.

Four designs are available: Petunia, Cosmos, Chamomile, and Primrose. Each has the organic, slightly imperfect quality of a hand-painted study rather than the mechanical precision of a digitally generated pattern. That looseness is intentional and gives the wallpaper a quality that reads as artful rather than decorative, closer to the painterly florals you'd find from brands like House of Hackney or Liberty, but produced at a more accessible price point and with stronger health and sustainability certifications.

Both traditional paste-the-wall and removable peel-and-stick options are available, making the Meadow wallpaper work for homeowners, renters, and designers alike.

Room-by-Room Wallpaper Guide

Powder rooms and small bathrooms: The Meadow patterns were practically made for powder rooms. In a small space, a bold painterly floral creates that jewel-box effect where every surface contributes to a single immersive experience. Petunia and Cosmos, with their richer color and movement, are especially strong here.

Bedrooms and nurseries: Chamomile and Primrose have softer, more muted palettes that work beautifully as full-room treatments. In a nursery, the GREENGUARD Gold certification and PVC-free, zero-VOC formulation mean you're not introducing chemical off-gassing into the room where your baby sleeps. The peel-and-stick option makes future updates simple.

Dining rooms and accent walls: Any of the four patterns works as a dining room accent wall, though the bolder Petunia and Cosmos designs create the most impact when the goal is a single statement wall behind a sideboard or dining table.

Why We Make Everything in England

English mills have centuries of experience with botanical textile printing, and that shows up in the finished product. The color saturation on the nonwoven wallpaper substrate is consistent and rich. The pillow covers are printed with the kind of tonal fidelity you'd expect from a fine art reproduction, not a home goods product. Working closely with English manufacturers also allows us to maintain the sustainability standards that matter to our customers: GREENGUARD Gold certification, PVC-free formulation, solvent-free inks, and low-impact printing methods aren't add-ons. They're how the products are made from the beginning.

How to Style The Meadow Collection

A few approaches we've found work especially well:

Start with Meadow throw pillows on a solid linen or velvet sofa. The contrast piping picks up accent colors in the room, so consider coordinating your piping color with lamp shades, ceramics, or the tones in a nearby rug. If you're working with a floral sofa, the Meadow prints' loose, painterly quality creates a pleasing textural contrast against tighter upholstery patterns.

Use a single extra-long Meadow lumbar to anchor a daybed or window seat, then add solid-colored squares in complementary tones on either side. The 34-inch width gives the arrangement a grounded, collected quality that reads as intentional rather than accumulated.

Pair Meadow wallpaper with clean-lined furniture, natural wood, and warm metals. The painterly patterns have enough visual weight that they benefit from simple surroundings. Think antique brass, linen curtains, and a wool or sisal rug underfoot.

For a layered but not overly matched look, try one Meadow pattern on the walls and a different Meadow print on the pillows. The shared color palette and brushstroke quality tie them together without feeling like a coordinated "set."
